Responsibilities:

• Reviews daily shipment orders report from Cognos to determine what shipments are due out that day. Allocates material to all orders according to customer specifications, then emails Shipping as orders are ready to print. For all orders that are due out, but QC has not been completed, reviews the status of testing and release with the appropriate laboratory technicians, then communicates that status to the appropriate Customer Service representative if the shipment looks questionable for the intended ship dates.
• Reviews each job ticket for customer sample requirements (if any), then retrieves the required samples and packages them for shipment to the customer. Places samples in tray provided for pick up by Shipping Department and notifies Shipping that samples are ready.
• Records dispositions for each box of rejected compound as directed by Plastics Lab Manager or his designate, then forwards that information to all involved Plastics Plant personnel. Updates database of reject compound dispositions.
• Re-classes (to “B” grade) all rejected material in M3. (Every single box must be re-classed individually in M3.)
• Does M3 inspection and re-class operations on each box or pallet of customer returned material, then goes into another M3 application to assign a new location to each box or pallet.
• Maintains all Plastics Laboratory office records and performs dead filing responsibilities on a regular basis.
• Issues daily reject report. On first workday of week also issues reject report by line and by shift for the previous week.

Skills/Education Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED.
• 3 years of Plastics Lab experience or Clerical experience required.
• General Office Skills and strong computer skills required.
